Rare Baby Zebra Was Born With Spots Instead Of Stripes

The most asked question about zebras is probably: are zebras black with white stripes or white with black stripes? The answer is still a mystery to many of us.

Right now, though, it does not matter because an incredibly rare zebra was found. This zebra was born with spots instead of stripes.

Yes, it is as cute as it sounds. While it may look like a zebra who is experimenting with its appearance and just trying something new--you know, like you do when you cut your hair after a breakup.

This zebra, however, was born with a genetic mutation that is sure to make it stand out from the crowd!

This baby zebra was born with spots!

The zebra lives on the Masai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya.

The genetic mutation is very rare. In this case, doubly so as the zebra is also black with white spots, not white with black stripes!
