We often see a lot of colorful birds around the world, but you rarely see a cardinal bird that has a bright and vivid yellow color like what the Yellow Cardinal bird displays. According to CBS News, cardinal birds are often seen in the US and Eastern part of Canada.

There are about 50 million of them and they normally come in bright red. This is what makes the yellow cardinal a one in million bright yellow birds.

But according to experts, cardinal birds may have experienced genetic mutations which resulted in them having bright yellow feathers instead of red. This however, can only happen once in every million of hatches, making it a very rare kind of bird of its kind. 

Reports say that some people have spotted yellow cardinal birds, and experts have investigated it and have proven its legitimacy. People in Alabama, Ohio and Pennsylvania have seen the bird already.

It was actually first spotted by a lucky resident in Alabama during the late part of January. If you have seen a yellow cardinal bird around, consider yourself lucky, because it rarely happens.
