Although our parents have lived more years, have had more experiences in life, and have taken care of us ever since they knew we were growing in our mothers' tummies, that doesn't mean that they always give out the right advice. Yes, they know a lot of things but they don't know everything.

We know parents aren't perfect people that's why even though they might have taught us some incorrect things when we were younger, we can still find it in us to forgive them and try to correct them as well. After all, maybe they were also products of their time and their parents' upbringing.
If we do find teachings like these, it's on us to correct them with ourselves. We can't just wait for others to do it and sometimes, we have to help others as well even if they are our own parents.
