An illustrator from Belgium who goes by the famous name "Planet Prudence" draws and illustrates the problems that women face on a daily basis. Years ago, Prudence began posting webcomics on Instagram as a means to keep a cartoon-based diary.
Soon after, a lot of people connected with her work, and today the artist has a sizable and amazing community with over 700k Instagram followers. The artist shared in one of her posts saying:
"I advocate body positivity and mental health in my work. I strive to be true to myself as a human being by knowing my value and I encourage people to do this as well,” the artist shared in one of her posts.
Prudence also said that she has always wanted to become an artist because when she was little, her older brother always drew comics and she knew she wanted to make them too when she grew up.
"I was a bit of a sad child, going through abuse at a young age by my grandfather, growing up very anxious, and getting bullied all the way through school. But eventually, art school became my safe haven. I really loved painting, especially with oil paint on the canvas at the time."
