That moment when you fall in love with a gorgeous ivory or cream dress that would be ideal for wearing to the wedding you have coming up in a few months. It happens to the best of us but is the color too similar to that of the bride's dress?

Would the bride be concerned about it? What about the other wedding guests?

Some might advise you to "go for it," while others would be quick to dismiss the notion. It might be difficult to choose the appropriate attire for a wedding event as you must first follow the dress code and choose a look that is appropriate for the formality of the occasion.

The women in OP's family have formed a unit where they tease and roast every new woman that enters the family by marriage by setting up "tests" to see if they deserve to be part of the family. When the OP first introduced his then-girlfriend, now wife, to the family, he made it clear that he didn't want any of the women in the unit to come at her or harass her.

Still, they planned on pulling a prank on the OP's wife by wearing white and called it the "ultimate test" to see how his wife would react. They did all this while neglecting the OP's words, and they got escorted out of the OP's wedding.

This behavior has been there for years unfortunately. It's normalized by everyone. I gotta say we have a family dynamic where the women are the ones dominating everything. Starting with my mom and grandmother. I

hate their attitude and hate that they act like this way instead of being extra loving and welcoming to new female family members. I said female because they don't pull this stuff with men marrying into the family. It only happened once and I created a rift in the unit.

This gang of women is simply bullying people

People tend to pick out a daytime outfit that they enjoy and feel at ease wearing while there are those who stick to tradition and refrain from wearing white to avoid drawing attention to the bride. Even though not all brides wear white, it is a Western ritual that is generally accepted, so the women in the OP's family got what they deserved.
