40 Things That Have Been Ruined By Wealthy People
It would be quicker to list the things they haven't ruined

I think it’s basic human nature to want to blame someone else for our troubles. Especially the struggles we experience that are otherwise out of our control.
It can be easier to be angry or upset with someone else than just to accept that whatever we’re struggling with just sucks or maybe is due to a personal mistake. Accepting that you’ve messed up and are at fault for something is really not a great feeling.
For what it’s worth, admitting when you’ve made a mistake and sitting with those uncomfortable feelings does get easier with practice. But it doesn’t make placing the blame on someone else any less tempting or satisfying.
In that vein, we stumbled across an interesting AskReddit post that got a LOT of attention from Redditors across the internet. With over 44k upvotes and nearly 35k comments, user Lattethecoffeaddict got quite the response when they posed the question, “What was ruined by rich people?”
While yes, there’s no such thing as ethical consumption under capitalism, there is something especially unethical about the existence of multi-millionaires and billionaires. And arguably, there has been a good chunk of things that have been driven up in price due to the super wealthy.
To save you some time, we collected 40 of the top responses to OP’s question. Keep scrolling to see what Reddit came up with!
