Signs play a significant role in our daily lives. They let us know which highway exit to take, assist us in selecting a restroom, let us know when establishments are open or closed, and warn us of potential hazards like damp flooring and potentially dangerous animals. 

But every now and then, we are fortunate enough to come across signs that are so badly designed that their main purpose seems to be to amuse us. Fortunately for us, all of these awful signs from all over the world are compiled in the Facebook group Useless, Unsuccessful, and/or Unpopular Signage.

Created back in 2021, the Useless, Unsuccessful, and/or Unpopular Signage Facebook group has the straightforward goal which is that "This group is for bad/dumb/down right stupid signage found anywhere.” Over the years, it has gained more than six thousand members and is still growing.

We therefore strongly advise signing up if you're seeking a spot to find hilariously terrible signs. Additionally, you may enjoy some of the greatest finds from the page right here, that's if you don't use Facebook very often!

Why does creating signs seem to be such a difficult task? Usually, there is a clear message that has to be conveyed, and it should be simple to do so in theory.

However, for some reason, sign manufacturers everywhere appear to struggle to make their points very often. We are grateful for their appalling work performance as we may now appreciate all of these amusing signs!
