Rules were made to make life easier, not more complicated, right? That's true for some institutions and workplaces out there, but sometimes, these rules are so laughable and irrational that you just have to take a step back and say "Huh?".
Growing up, we were always faced with rules, and this was an inevitable thing. From our wee hours in middle school and high school to our workplaces once we graduate, rules were always enforced, one way or another.
While they are quite helpful at making things controlled and in order, some rules are just...well, plainly stupid. Sometimes, these rules are so absurd, people just get so done with following them and let it all go down the drain—giving rise to a revolution that everyone didn't know they needed.
It's an admirable thing to just ignore some of these ridiculous rules and let's face it, the look on other people's faces when someone brave finally steps up is priceless. When a Reddit user under the handle u/TabblespoonFarmer3 asked "What stupid rule at your work/school backfired beautifully?", the people on the platform joined in and shared their comical stories revolving around this topic.
