People Are Astonished At How Ridiculous This Starbucks Barista Is Acting After Working An 8 Hour Shift

Many of us have worked or do work a full-time job or at least know what it feels like to work 8 hours a day. I mean, honestly, most jobs do schedule you for an 8-hour day as the standard type of workday.

So, whether you were this young or not, we are sure that you've had to work an 8-hour shift at some point in your life. We don't usually see people have a reaction like this to working, but it's definitely something that makes us wonder how people grew up or what they're thinking.

Now, we wanted to share this post because TikTok blew up, and the comments were actually a little funny. We know that this barista was feeling a lot of stress before, but we also know that many of us have had a breakdown about work and said we'd quit but clocked in the very next day.

We do recognize his feelings, and we want to make sure that people know that jobs can be difficult, and Starbucks is a very stressful, demanding, and fast-paced job with some of the most ruthless customers. So, if you want to hear more about this viral TikTok, then keep reading.

The Starbucks barista sits in his back room filled with supplies where he films this video.

“I’m literally about to quit,” he said. “I don’t know if I’m going to do it, but like, I really want to. I almost walked out today. And I’m crying in the back room, and I almost cried on the floor.”

He's clearly very upset about his job and says he wants to quit. He then explains more on why he's upset.

“I’m a full-time student. I get scheduled for 25 hours a week, and on weekends they schedule me the entire day — open to close. I’m on the schedule for eight-and-a-half hours, both Saturday and Sunday.”

The video went viral with over 11 million views.

Some people brought up how this generation is trying not to work their lives away but they're always frowned upon for it.

A lot of people expect their kids to do this and a lot of kids did it willingly with no complaints.

Ultimately if he's upset about it then it's worth being upset about. He should ask for less hours though or try to give up shifts to balance.

Some people even came out about how Starbucks is pretty busy and understaffed at times which people don't recognize.

“It’s just not viable. It’s very stressful,” Ortiz said. “And a lot of people don’t really notice, like, the humans behind this assembly.”

Well, what do you think? People's comments were really conflicted.

The older generation said how they dealt with worse, so he'll be okay, but the younger generation said that with school, he's working a lot of hours.

No matter the stance, if he's unhappy, then he definitely should try to figure out how to change it. But, whatever changes he makes, he will still need to work.

So, he better get used to it.
