It brings up a not-so-heated but more of an IMO or “in my opinion” discussion if you ask THE BEST Studio Ghibli film. We might need some statistics and maybe even a real research to answer this really really important question.

Kidding aside, Studio Ghibli films have been a very classic fan favorite, especially in this time where anime is profound. And speaking of animation, Studio Ghibli films are known for their very attention to detail and legendary Miyazaki Hayao hand-drawn animation.

Just a quick background, Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation film studio founded by trio Suzuki Toshio, Miyazaki Hayao, and Takahata Isao who also produced, animated, and directed the first anime films. The film studio has produced 22 films about fantasy, fairy tales, classics, epics, and coming-of-age themes. Some of them even won prestigious awards internationally.

One of their most popular films, Spirited Away, which aired way back in 2002, was awarded the 2002 Golden Bear and the 2003 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. So this means that Spirit Away has some credibility in the Studio Ghibli wall of fame.
