Scared Shelter Dogs Comfort Each Other While Waiting For Their Furever Homes

Dogs empathize with each other, and they have a strong sense when someone is in distress. As they show their love and affection to us, humans, they can be equally protective and caring with their canine housemates.

This story perfectly shows that dogs can care for each other as much as they do with their beloved owners. While Melinda was browsing through her newsfeed on Facebook, she stumbled upon a heartbreaking photo of two shelter dogs giving each other comfort while waiting for adoption.

Without thinking twice, she then rushed to the shelter along with her husband, Casey, and took the two angels home. The two scared dogs were very looked very hesitant.

After being abandoned by their previous owner for unknown reasons, they find it hard to trust humans anymore, and you can't blame these poor souls for feeling that way. They have gone through so much that they could only trust each other.

When they were home, they only got settled when they realized they were safe. They would no longer think and worry about each other's safety.

It wasn't very long when they started bonding with the rest of Melinda's dogs. Then they transformed from being scared and pitiful to happy and playful dogs.

I saw a picture of them hunched over in a corner holding on to each other. They looked so broken.

Their owner had dropped them off at the shelter without an explanation. They needed to learn that love felt like, and I wanted to be the one to teach them. - Melinda

These two are inseparable.

It was amazing to see them open up just by being in our home. But it wasn’t until we introduced them to our dogs that we really saw a change in them.

They were more excited meeting our dogs than meeting us. - Melinda

As the two dogs shared a unique bond, Melinda only wished for them to be adopted together. True enough, Monica, a woman from San Diego, was impressed by such a strong bond and decided to adopt them right away.

Melinda knew then that she (Monica) would be a great fur mom for these two sweeties.

When you Foster, it’s never easy to let go. You fall in love with every little moment you spend with them, and only want them to have a perfect life.

Glad that finally, the pair are safe in their forever home with their new owner, Monica. Like every dog, they deserve to be loved and cared too.

Thanks to Melinda, who immediately rushed to get them and provided them with a temporary shelter. It was brief but sweet, and she led them to become the happy and high-spirited dogs that they used to be.
