Have you ever been in that situation where you and your siblings kind of contest your way to seek attention from your family? It is not announced, but there’s just that thin line of competition to get that medal to whoever is the funniest, smartest, prettiest, most helpful, and more.

Mind you, favoritism is a different topic from what is being opened here, but maybe it’s just a natural human instinct to steal the spotlight– no matter who, no matter age– the goal is to be the family favorite (but we’re not talking about favoritism, ok???)

Anyway, some of you might believe that this is one of the most controversial issues between siblings. Though it might result in sibling rivalries, seeking attention from your parents, grandparents, and the rest of your family, is actually a serious matter to be considered.

More than seeking attention or competition, sometimes it could tap into other aspects like mental health. Now, that’s a scratch to the surface, right?

What’s more alarming is that some kind of fear is formed among the siblings, especially the younger ones. In fact, it could be a traumatic experience.

It’s all fun and games until it becomes frequent and it tangles into a much more impactful event between brothers and sisters.
