Toilet seats are standard in every home. We use them every day without fail.

We rarely have any memory of a time before them because they were actually created almost two thousand years ago. The most obvious justification for doing so is that it is more hygienic.

To put it kindly, toilet water contains microorganisms from, well, everything that goes down it. You should be prepared to spend one second going out of your way to flick the toilet seat up and down in order to prevent the sad, wet fate of their unintentionally falling in the toilet if you care even the slightest bit about the women you live with.

It seems simple enough, so congratulations! You're halfway there if you're a guy, and you're already lifting the toilet seat to urinate!

Everyone is delighted that you are realistic enough to acknowledge that your aim is off and that it is simpler to elevate the seat now than to clean up a lot of pee afterward. Unfortunately, there is still one unresolved bathroom-related issue: do you always put the seat back down?

The OP has brought a story to the AITA subreddit community regarding one of their roommates who always fails to cover the toilet. Keep scrolling to read the entire story in the OP's own words.

One Redditor dropped a comment saying:

Not trying to sounds sexist, but you might not liking the lid left up, but don't gripe about it to the guys. That is something that is always bitched at us by women. It's kind of strange to hear a dude bitching about the toilet left up.

If you can open the toilet seat to pee, why is it so hard just to put it back down? Many Redditors advised the OP not to worry about it as they are already nearing the end of their stay together.
