Comedians stand up on stage and make fun of either themselves or anything else in the world. If they’re really good, you’ll get a few guffaws in and no rotten tomatoes are going to be harmed.
Some people find the concept of comedy funnier though and it’s called a roast. Comedy roast means you’ll get a guest and then preferably invite acquaintances to make a whole segment dedicated to making fun of that guest.
This became a hit for showrunners and created celebrity roasts. Their reputation is out the window as jokes come for them, left and right.
Most of the time they school that expression of acceptance and laugh with the audience. Other times they get their feelings really hurt.
It’s understandable, when you’ve got fame and vanity you can be the target of insults but it’s quite different for it to come from someone you know and you only can’t do anything but listen.
Plus with all the insults hidden in-jokes, there’s a big possibility that it’ll turn you into a bad sport. You’ll get that sulky face that even good acting couldn’t hide.
If you want to know who failed the test, it’s time to binge-watch celebrity roast shows. If you can’t be bothered with that, we’ve got a list for you.
1. Jonah Hill and Sarah Silverman came at each other even though the actual guest wasn’t either of them.
Sarah started to joke about Hill being lured into the stage by using a blunt and then proceed to throw jokes about his weight.

Sarah admitted that although she’s been through the whole roast process a lot of times, she was still unexpectedly hurt.

Ann Coulter said that she was blindsided by the jokes being directed to her instead and felt that they purposely created that evil edit using her clips.

She explained that she tried to go over the worst jokes they would throw at her and evaluated that she wasn’t mentally ready for that after just having a baby.
4. Merciless roasters are used to the game and usually there’s no insult that would break their wall but one time Nikki Glaser got hit.

In a 2008 roast, Jeff Ross threw a joke that involved Mary-Kate Olsen and Saget didn’t take it lightly since he’s very protective of them.

Warner Bros.Whether you’ve been in the business for a long time or are a celebrity who wants to try it out. There’s no one who’s safe from getting hurt unexpectedly.
Celebrities often have a tougher skin and take insults better than most people especially after dealing with them both online and offline. But it does double the pain when it’s from their friends.
