Any savvy shopper knows that working in retail is probably one of the most difficult jobs out there, no matter how much it may look easy when you first look at it. Part of why it is so physically and frustratingly stressful is the numerous times you have to deal with customers that complain about stupid things that you can't just easily help them with, like with the price of a product, and there is a guarantee that there is always going to be someone who thinks that you are not doing your job properly.
Well, everyone has dealt with the occasional rude customer while on a duty. But as a retail worker, this can be up to three-quarters of your day.
Sometimes, well most of the time, the maxim "The customer is always right" does not really apply to all situations, and it might be a relief to know that the actual quote is actually "The customer is always right, in matters of taste." Only in taste, but never in the aspect of service, prices, and refunds.
This is something that your typical "Karen" customers have a hard time grasping because, in their eyes, they are always right in this world. However, there are also a couple of times when customers are just plain confused, but retail workers get so tempted to pull their hair out of frustration.
Well, point in case, here are certain moments that make you realize working in retail is indeed harder than it sounds like!
