Working in food service or a restaurant industry job can be awesome and infuriating at the same time. 

You can make the most awesome friends, but find yourself embroiled in drama 24/7. You can interact with awesome regulars, but then end up serving the worst restaurant patrons in the world. I worked in a McDonald's from the age of 16-20, and generally avoided the ridiculousness, but my friends who stayed in longer or worked at fancier places still had the same experiences, just with a lot of booze involved as well.
