Pregnant Tabby Cat Rescued From A Kill Shelter Drools From Happiness While Waiting For Her Forever Home
The American Humane states that only 2% of felines who enter animal shelters are fortunate enough to be reunited with their owners. There are alarming statistics surrounding what happens to these kittens, and thankfully, there are volunteer groups dedicated to the goal of ending animal euthanasia.
There’s a brown and gray tabby kitty named Rosey. She was cooped up at the Petersburg Animal Control shelter.
Rosey stayed there, wondering if she would ever find a home of her own. Regrettably, in large population centers with many kitties and outdoor-reared cats, felines sometimes meet a sad fate when they are not adopted by caring and loving families.
Luckily for Rosey, she was not one of these unfortunate examples, as the West End Cat Rescue (WECR) found her. The WECR is a Henrico County, Virginia-based rescue and educational outreach group, and this organization gave her a new life in the city.
There, Rosey is working hard to find herself a permanent home. Apparently, Rosey was already pregnant when she came under the care of the WECR.
She was just a year old when she gave birth to multiple kittens, which were quickly adopted by different cat parents. Meanwhile, nobody considered taking Rosey back to their home.

Rosey was shy at first, but as time passed, she began to show her true personality as she let her guard down. It’s been years now since Rosey left the municipal grounds, and the timidness in her has faded away.

Rosey is an attention seeker. According to Vicky, the founder and owner of WECR, Rosey loves attention as the "mellowed-out cat becomes mesmerized by the love she receives, leading her to drool when she's happy."

Whenever she’s relaxed, Rosey's attractive, welcoming green eyes always persuade others to play with her. One of her favorite activities is to get her little legs in motion to find a place to vanish for a good game of hide and seek.
Rosey started showing off her personality

Vicky says that "Rosy knows how to hide, and you will never catch her because she is clever." Rosey loves to wag her short tail back and forth while Vicky and others who come into contact with this adorable kitty caress her silky coat.

The perfect home would be a place where Rosey is the only pet, as she is a more mature cat. She would thrive with parents who love pets and want to give her all the necessary rubs she can handle.
She's still hoping someone will provide her a forever home

Vicky added that "Rosey gets along with other cats, but not too many of them," and even though Rosey has not yet found a permanent home, she has many people who show her love and attention.
Rosey may not have a forever home yet, but she has many who care for her

Rosey hopes that someday someone will give her a forever home where she can be spoiled by eager cat parents. Although older cats adjust better to home life, have more predictable personalities, and do not require constant monitoring, many still do not want to adopt an adult cat.
Well, Rosey is now part of the four thousand felines saved by Vicky and her volunteers.
