People would probably react differently to this decision based on what they wanted to do or didn't want to do.

We are back today with yet another Reddit post from the AITA thread that we wanted to look at. These posts are usually posted to get an idea of whether or not the person is in the wrong for how they acted or reacted in a situation.
Typically, we would ask friends or family for their opinion or advice, but sometimes it's just best to get an unbiased opinion or advice from people that don't know you and who don't know anyone from the situation. So that's exactly what this thread is used for, and these posts usually get a lot of feedback.
With this being said, today we are diving into yet another one of these posts, and this one was posted by a guy who is looking to see if he's wrong for reporting his friend who goes to the same college as him and was being academically dishonest.
Basically, the guy has been cheating on his tests and works at school, so OP decided to call and report him to the school, to which he then got kicked out. So if you want to know what really happened and what people had to say in the comments about this, then keep on reading as we dive into the details.
OP starts off by explaining that him and his friend are both at the same college, majoring in the same thing and so they have a lot of the same classes.
u/schoollady394He then explains that his mother has been helping him and he's been cheating on his tests and assignments.
u/schoollady394He gives many details of when this would occur and the types of things that would go on when he was cheating on his assignments.
u/schoollady394OP reported his friend and so they notified him that he was being kicked out of the university. Obviously, the friend was very upset about this.
u/schoollady394He goes into more detail on how the conversation ended and he basically just wants to know if he's really in the wrong for reporting his friend.
u/schoollady394People were pretty controversial in the comments but this person said that they are NTA for reporting their friend and basically says that it was probably going to happen anyway.
PreviousWerewold1398People were even saying that the friend's mother should be fired for helping her son cheat since she is a teacher.
WikkidWitchlyA lot of people are also telling him not to really worry about it because clearly the teacher was going to report him anyway.
DonutDragonsThis person actually felt like OP was in the wrong for reporting him because they said that the situation wasn't that serious for him to report him to the college.
anon19111At the end of the day, this person said that ESH because of the decisions made on both parts.
anon19111It seems like there were a lot of opinions on this situation, and that's part of the reason that we wanted to dive into this post. Ultimately, a lot of people told OP that he was NTA because it needed to be done, but others voted for ESH because of the decisions made on both parts.
What do you think, and how would you have voted?
