Conductor Halts Train To Save Puppy Chained To The Tracks

How could anyone be as cruel as to tie a defenseless puppy to train tracks?

When most people look at dogs, they only see good. These creatures love us with abundance, they work for us, they pamper us with affection, and they become incomparable loyal companions.

They're precious and more often than not, it feels like we don't deserve them at all. That's why it's sometimes difficult to imagine how anyone could hurt these creatures or put them in harm's way.

Sure, they might just be pets to some people but that doesn't warrant anyone putting them to harm. Even pets deserve that basic courtesy.

As it is though, there are plenty of cruel people in this world who have hearts of stone and who have the ability to willingly hurt dogs. The sad part is that they won't just even harm the dog with their very own hands but they'll truly put them in much worse situations like this one pup we have here.

The poor tiny thing was chained dangerously close to the train tracks where it could have easily been run over and where it must have been terribly frightened by all the loud noises and huge trains passing by. Thankfully, one conductor wasn't about to let harm come to this puppy.

Once the conductor noticed the dog, he immediately stopped the train

Andres Fabricio Argandoña Tapia was in his usual routine that late afternoon, driving the train in the Valparaiso Region of Chile when he suddenly noticed something moving along the tracks in front. Because of the glare of the sunset, he wasn't able to immediately see what was there.

As he got closer though, he realized it was a small black dog and he immediately pulled the brakes. When he stepped outside, he confirmed that it was a small dog desperately trying to free itself.

The dog was obviously terrified and desperate to get away

In the video filmed by Tapia, it was obvious that the dog was distressed and desperate to free itself from the chain. Thankfully, the conductor immediately set to work to free the dog who ran away right after the chains were off him.

Now, the authorities are trying to find who was responsible for it

“How can there be people so bad? Who leave little dogs tied up on the tracks,” the train driver says in the heartbreaking footage. “You cannot do that. I hope someday the human race changes.”

Now, the authorities are trying to find out who was responsible for the cruel act.

“We condemn and reject this incident against a defenceless animal, and we are thankful for the behaviour of the driver who saved its life,” said the mayor of the city, Edgardo Gonzalez.

It's truly cruel what they did to the dog who couldn't do anything to save itself. From the video, it was obvious the dog was absolutely terrified.

As Tapia said, hopefully, the human race changes for the better soon. These creatures don't deserve the cruelty that people hand out so freely to them.

We're the ones supposed to care for them, not hurt them. With that, hopefully, they find the people responsible for it and have them face the consequences of their actions.
