To say that most people don't like hospitals is a pretty fair statement. After all, hospitals aren't generally associated with happiness or good times.
Usually, hospitals are an indication of sickness and distress. And depending on which part of the world you live in, receiving medical treatment at a hospital can also become a heavy financial burden.
For the most part, we are incredibly fortunate to be able to receive exceptional medical attention when needed. But, of course, there are also times when things go wrong.
For example, when a doctor makes a misdiagnosis or overlooks a problem entirely, the consequences can be dire for a patient. The scary thing is that this happens far more often than you would think.
In a recent Reddit post, user u/Gorgon_the_Dragon asked, "Doctors of Reddit, what was the worse thing you've seen for a patient that another doctor overlooked?" And the stories that followed are disconcerting, to say the least.
From doctors labeling their patients as "just being dramatic" to losing a foot due to misdiagnosed injuries to a patient not being told their illness is terminal, we have these stories and many more for you below. Keep scrolling to find out all the interesting (and disturbing) details.
