Get An Exclusive Look At A $32K Suite On A Luxury Train

An American vlogger spent thousands of dollars to get a train ticket to see all of Europe's attractions. During one leg of his European rail trip, YouTuber and content creator Ryan Trahan upgraded to the most opulent compartment on the venerable Venice Simplon-Orient Express.

As the train traveled from Paris to Venice, Ryan stayed in The Grand Suite, which cost at least $32,000 per night for a single individual. In a video he uploaded to YouTube, he described his entire stay in "the most expensive train seat in the entire world."

As of now, the video has received more than 10 million views and over 340k likes. Let's not even talk about the thousands of comments, as this video is something you would like to see for yourself.

The content creator walked into the private room and saw polished wood paneling with elaborately designed walls. There was also an open living area with a dining table, couch, and a big seat inside.

Ryan then went to the bedroom, calling it "the grandest thing of all" because it had a king-size bed that could be made to lie flat so that luggage could be kept underneath. And lastly, the marble-topped bathroom with its flashy yellow and brown accents held a glass sink, an antique toilet, and a shower.

A steward called Leno stopped by as Ryan was getting settled in to give the 24-year-old vlogger some additional information on the suite. The content creator said that he was "publicly known as the 'goat' of stewards."

Ryan later recorded his dinner experience as he made his way from his suite to the dining carriage.

He was given a selection of dishes, including smoked salmon and bread as an appetizer, and he commented that everything was "fancy and [tasted] great." When Ryan got back to his room, he mistakenly dropped a chocolate cake that was resting on the dining table with the words "En Joyride" piped on top.

Ryan made his way to the bar carriage in order to complete his journey.

His final late-night excursion was to have a drink after taking a shower. He placed an order for a Shirley Temple while classical music played in the background.

Everyone in the video was dressed in black dresses and tuxedos. As the evening came to an end, Ryan expressed his wish that his father could have joined him on his European travels, adding, "I really wish my dad was here to experience this with me."

Before Ryan left for Venice, the steward Leno served him an American-style breakfast, which made the overall experience even better. The vlogger met up with his father as he got off the train, and he spent his final evening in Europe enjoying pizza by the river.

Even though the Venice Simplon-Orient Express offers a range of accommodations and costs, a stay in the Grand Suite remains the priciest choice. The vlogger's likable demeanor and the "wholesome" content elicited different emotions from viewers.

Positive reactions flooded the YouTube video, as Ryan had fulfilled a past wish by bringing his dad along for the vacation. "This was probably the most wholesome video he’s ever done! I couldn’t stop smiling and feeling joy throughout this whole thing,” someone said.

Others had a problem with the price. “Not seeing anything worth $32,000,” a similar comment wrote, “The world’s gone berserk! Seriously.”
