There is rarely a day in the life of a cat-crazed individual where we don't strongly desire to see more cats. There can never be enough cats!
We utilize the gifts of social media to it's full potential when it comes to seeing as many cats in as wide variety of ways humanely possible, there's no denying it. The evidence stacks up heavily.
On Instagram, we follow individual cat profiles, cat meme accounts, adoption and foster agencies and individuals, pet experts, and even businesses that appeal to cat connoisseurs. On Reddit, we will join just about any subreddit dedicated to cats no matter how absurd or seemingly irrelevant (and believe me, there's a subreddit for everything.)
On Facebook we follow public pages and join closed groups. On Twitter and TikTok we follow cat owners and cat personalities alike.
We really just cannot get enough quality, wholesome, and silly cat content, can we? If you're even considering being hard on yourself for it, might I strongly suggest: don't.
Embrace your cat-crazed nature, nurture it, and celebrate it. There are few things in life that can bring us such joy and we may as well take it all in for what it's worth (and truthfully, it is worth plenty.)

Xoxx2According to Cole and Marmalade, not all naughty cat behavior should be discouraged. "Our cats display a number of quirky cat behaviors that entertain us, but also serve to keep them mentally stimulated," they report.
"Cats are resilient, purposeful beings that carry out these actions as a means to an end. They are, after all, predatory animals. And because of this, many of these eccentric cat behaviors have a rhyme and reason to them and are actually more calculated than we realize."

"Whether they’re batting objects onto the floor, jumping onto the kitchen counter or miaowing at you incessantly, these are all ingenious ways your cat may be trying to grab your attention. And if you keep giving in and giving them exactly what they want, whether it’s food or a fuss, then the chances are they will keep doing it again and again as they know it works."

PacificCoast19There's no denying that cats have a tendency to sleep in peculiar positions and places, it's very well documented and something that most of us cat lovers honestly can't get enough of. They have a list of qualifications when choosing the ideal napping location including areas that only have one entrance or exit and warmth.
As long as those qualifications are met, the rest is history. Curling up into a self-heating shrimp shape or sprawling out, cozy is cozy when it comes to cat logic.

iammandaloreAccording to Tony Buffington's TED Talk, there's a very logical explanation for why your cat is so weird:
"Throughout time, cats were simultaneously solitary predators of smaller animals and prey for larger carnivores. As both predator and prey, survival of their species depended on crucial instinctual behaviors which we still observe in wild and domestic cats today. While the feline actions of your house cat Grizmo might seem perplexing, in the wild, these same behaviors, naturally bred into cats for millions of years, would make Grizmo a super cat. "
