An Instagram Page Named “Overheard Celebs” Garnered A Following After Posting Wholesome Celebrity Interactions

Celebrities are just like us, sometimes they’re even funnier

There are a lot of mediums that aim to reveal every nitty-gritty detail of celebrities. Day after day you’ll see tabloids that are filled with rumors screaming in capital letters.

You hear entertainment news talk about who’s dating who and who’s the next up and coming. Then there are social media where the cancel culture is huge and it only takes one bad story for celebrities to lose a big following.

Some gossip might be true and it would possibly ruin someone’s reputation but sometimes the benefit of the doubt you give them pays off. There’s a new Instagram account dedicated to showing a more wholesome side of celebrities.

Overheard Celebs is an account that has garnered a fairly big following for being a self-described “Anti-gossip journal”. The objective of the account is to share stories that people submit about their encounters with celebrities.

Unlike usual tabloids, Overheard Celebs don’t run their page for the sake of putting down celebrities. Instead, posts are sometimes funny, inspiring, and wholesome.

Initially, the account launched with their first post about Bill Murray then in a couple of months people started to submit more stories. Now, they’ve got posts about Hollywood A-listers and so much more.

When there are stories like this, it’s nice and refreshing after being bombarded everywhere by gossip. In some posts, it’s like you’re living vicariously through them who’ve met your idols and had a good interaction with them.

It’s a good page to follow if you want to know more about how your fave celebs are when they’re off-camera. Even if you just need a couple of laughs, these everyday interactions could add to that.
