Isn’t it screaming and waving a major green flag if your partner cooks for you? Like, imagine plated dinners and exquisite desserts on random days, and it just tastes and feels so good?
Of course, we all appreciate it if our partner cooks for us; who wouldn’t? Even preparing the simplest recipe or just cooking to make your day after a tiring shift, we all would appreciate it.
While that is a dream for some people, that’s not our story. But you’re free to fantasize about it.
When we are the best people to make something, we follow a certain kind of recipe, method, guide, or what have you. Especially if we have done this numerous times and people just love it every time.
Oh, and especially if you put some other special ingredients out of that recipe that just works with the food you are cooking. We even do not share these secret ingredients just so that you’d become a master chef among your friends or family.
It would be very kind of disturbing not to follow even just one step or one ingredient when you’ve done it that way ever since. But we cannot hide the fact that some people are just picky about some things or food.
Because, this is kind of what happened in our AITA for today.
RedditLet’s go back a few steps to see what we’re talking about here.
RedditSimply put. She doesn’t want onions.
RedditHe is, after all, the best tuna sandwich maker in the her world YET.
RedditOh, now we’re talking.
RedditWhat do you think? AITA or not?
But you might wanna check some comments about this.
He did say that he wasn’t going to, but he did anyway.
RedditMaybe she has a thing with onions and we have to respect that.
RedditSorry you had to experience that. True that we all have got to be extra careful when it comes to food.
RedditPreferences. Period!
RedditAlternatives could be a solution too! Good idea to those who are always following their own homemade recipes to serve their picky eaters at home.
RedditFood is key.
RedditHmmmmmm…
RedditAdvices from the context of marriage by a married couple.
RedditNow all got into thinking. But this could have avoided his girlfriend getting disappointed.
RedditAgain, preferences. But communication could be bridge this gap, if it is a gap.
RedditBut this time she didn’t like onions. They could have just talked.
RedditThis is a good suggestion.
RedditWe’ve got to taste that!
RedditThis guy’s a bishop after all? He has a point but there are lot’s of others to consider.
RedditYour food, your choice.
RedditA continuation...
RedditIt’s all about respect and being able to understand the ways of life of each other, be it a food preference or a cooking preference. We’re all complicated souls, and having to balance each other might be a sacrifice but isn’t that what relationships are all about?
Anyway, it’s a lesson learned. At least they both got to know each other a little bit better.
So next time, there could be two plates: one with onions and another without onions.
