Each work of art Ross Tran creates is whimsical, almost beyond measure.
For well over a decade, Ross Tran AKA Ross Draws has been delighting fans of art and illustration all over the world with his vibrant personality and incredible skill as an illustrator. He was only 16 when he began "seriously pursuing" art and after high school, he moved to Los Angeles where he went on to graduate from ArtCenter College of Design with a degree in Industrial Design.
In 2020, he published NIMA- The Black Lotus, a "cinematic art book." When you read what he says about his masterpiece, you can't help but grow wide-eyed with wonder:
"NIMA is a true extension of my influences, my childhood inspirations, and who I am as a person. Since I grew up an only child, I often found myself playing alone in my grandma's backyard. There, I spent my time creating worlds and stories and going on adventures with my imaginary friends. Once I was older, I knew I wanted to capture that same childlike energy and create a narrative art book.
Although entirely original, NIMA pulls inspiration from my favorite anime, video games, and concept art books I grew up with. Each character is an extension of who I am or a person I know. Since I relied on many of my personal experiences to help shape this world, I feel that it's a true reflection of my life up to this moment."
For as long as Ross has been creating art, he has managed to sprinkle in opportunities to flex his skills with some breathtaking Disney fan art. We are utterly convinced you'll love it as much as we do!

Ross Draws doesn't dedicate all of his time, effort, and skill to Disney pieces, of course! You can find all sorts of incredible commissioned work and pop culture characters to gush over when you follow him on social media.

He's also incredibly busy. These days his YouTube is hopping.
Sometimes his videos feature him re-making old art with his improved and honed skills (a lot of things change in a decade of practice after all,) and others include collaborations with friends or bringing the imaginations of his friends and family to life.
You can always expect a reason to smile from an artist with a personality as vibrant as his work. Let us know what you think!
