Brandon McCarthy was once a professional baseball pitcher. Today, the 36-year old is a front office executive for the Texas Rangers and spends his free time musing over Twitter, as many folks these days tend to.

Recently, McCarthy turned to his followers with a thought that struck him: did people of the past appear to age faster? It's a tough call to make because on one hand, if you looked at a 13-year old today and a 13-year old from say, the 90's, you'd see a massive cultural shift. However, based on the responses that McCarthy received on Twitter... he just might be on to something.

A question is posed to the public:

Kids today may be applying make-up to look older, but in the past, they were making life choices that aged them very quickly.
