When looking for a house to live in, many people would choose old homes. Some say they prefer it that way because at least the house has already been lived in, already has that feel of being made into a home, or has an aura of hominess given its history.
As most people know though, old homes come with a lot of things.
Physically, the home might come with damages from previous owners or features from bygone eras that aren't really used these days. On the other hand, they also come with histories, and with histories come relics.
It might be things the previous owners left behind or it might be items from eras of the long past that have been kept in boarded-up walls or locked-up cellars that haven't seen the light of day in years. No matter what it is, they find a way of resurfacing one way or another and it's often just time that will tell when.
Relics like these are so interesting because they so much about the previous owners of the house and how they live in that home. They also give the house so much character.
