Welcome back to another post today, where we'll be looking into an AITA thread post from Reddit. These thread posts are where people come to see whether or not they are in the wrong for something they did or said during a situation.

Sometimes it's just best to get some sort of unbiased opinion on the internet about situations instead of asking those around you who may have a skewed vision of the situation or a bias towards someone involved. With this being said, we're looking into a situation where a woman wants to know if she's in the wrong for not going to her friend's wedding.

She misread the invitation and didn't double-check until the last minute, only to find out that her kids were not invited and that it was a kid-free wedding. This put her in a hard place because she had no one to watch her kids and, therefore, couldn't attend the wedding.

People actually had a lot to say in the comments for such a simple post, but it seems like people really didn't think she played it smart by not double-checking until the last minute. It does seem like although OP is explaining herself, she is taking after her actions and says she should apologize for the way that she handled things.

This is one thing that I noticed too because I feel it's odd to invite someone to one or the other honestly.

Some people did agree with OP though and said that OP was NTA in this situation and says that maybe the girl isn't the friend that OP thought she was.
