Not everyone likes making their own meals all the time. People who have the funds tend to eat out or just place an order.
Those who like to prepare their own meals might want to do it without anyone encroaching on the kitchen space, just like the original poster of today's AITA story. The OP says that she has a super repetitive and predictable routine.
Every morning at 9:55, the OP goes into the kitchen to pack her lunch for work, but that is also the time her mom loves to enter the kitchen too. To the OP, it's as if she waits for her to go to make her lunch, and then she comes in.
The OP made sure to reveal that their kitchen isn't very big, so she's always bumping into her while she's cutting stuff up or standing in front of cupboards she needs to get into. The OP has politely begged her mom to wait till she's done, but she was replied to with the "it's my home" answer.
One day, the OP was cutting up vegetables, and her mom came in to wash dishes and ended up bumping into her while she was using the knife. The OP got a small cut, which made her snap.

I have ADHD. Keeping a strict morning routine is the only way I can make sure I get everything done. It takes me 20 minutes to get ready, and everything in my routine takes the exact same amount of time (brushing teeth for 2 minutes, etc).
The only part that sometimes takes a bit longer is packing my lunch, which is why I do it first, to make sure I'll have time for everything else.
