Mochi, the pug, is certainly not your average dog. This pug dog's life is filled with joy and excitement in every possible moment.
What makes Mochi the pug dog so unique is that he is the inspiration behind a dog themed comic series created by his human, Spanish artist Gemma Gené. Gemma, who currently lives in New York, has created an entire series of adorable drawings based on Mochi the pug dog and his daily dog adventures.
Mochi the dog's adventures occur along with his rescued brothers, Huey and Duey. Huey and Duey are also dogs, but they are not pug dogs.
Gemma has gained over 338k followers on her Instagram page. People just can't get enough of Mochi and his cuteness, and they are definitely fans of dogs!
It all began when Gemma was at work and missing Mochi terribly. She started doodling some cartoons of him, completely unaware of how popular the drawings would become.

Gemma says she has learned a lot about dogs by observing Mochi. "A comment that I get a lot is 'do you have cameras in my home because my dog does the exact same thing!'" she said.
"As it turns out, what I thought was so unique about Mochi is common in many dogs! We accidentally created a very supportive dog-loving community that has gradually grown over time."

Gemma says the pandemic has been "sad and nerve-wracking," especially being unable to see family for most of the year. "Being away from them has been very hard, and you just want everyone to be safe, and it is scary."
Gemma shared the happy news that she's pregnant! "2020 has been a year of changes and preparation for the new family addition, and hopefully 2021 will be a happy year for everyone," she said.

As for all of us, 2020 presented certain challenges for Gemma and Mochi. "I work from home, so in that sense, it didn't really change much."
"Only when the parks started closing down, Mochi was no longer able to run free and see his friends. Meanwhile, I stopped all the activities I used to do outside the house, but Mochi and the Twinchis loved that."
