Viral Video Shows Overwhelming Moment When A Massive Humpback Whale Leapt Out Of The Water Right Next To A Fishing Boat
Humans are constantly amazed by nature. You might see something that has never occurred to you before, and it just might be the opportunity of a lifetime.
Imagine the scenario when you go on a sightseeing cruise, and a huge humpback whale breaches the water right near your boat. You must imagine winning the lottery, right? Incredible!
With the photographer Douglas Craft, this actually happened. On a whale-watching boat in the waters around Monterey Bay in California, he filmed these beautiful scenes.
Right adjacent to a fishing boat, the gigantic humpback whale was seen rushing out of the water. It was directly behind the fisherman!
From the boat's porthole, Douglas captured stunning images of the enormous sea creature. He was briefly surprised by the image, but he quickly grabbed his camera and took a picture.
He was fortunate to be able to see the whale clearly and in greater detail due to his filming angle. The fishing boat was obviously exceedingly small in relation to the beast.
Douglas told a new agency saying:
"I went below deck to shoot from a porthole close to the waterline. That’s what gives this amazing perspective of looking up at the whale."

"It was fun capturing this video. The whale had already breached multiple times much further away from the fisherman. But sometimes when whales breach multiple times, they’re also heading a specific direction when they’re underwater building momentum for the next breach."The photographer's shooting angle enabled him to get a bigger and clearer view of the whale
Douglas Croft, Caters NewsFor those who don't know, mature humpback whales are 12–16 m (39–52 ft) long and weigh about 25–30 metric tons (28–33 short tons). Whale watchers love these enormous marine mammals for their breaching and other unique activities.
