Wild Cat Lynx Family Came To Hang Out On A Photographer’s Porch In Alaska

In the cat fanatic world we have a saying that rings true: a cat is a cat is a cat. Cats have personality traits that transcend the diversity of cat breeds, including wild cats with no tangible relationship to domesticated cats.

On a sunny morning, Tim Newton, from Anchorage, Alaska, was awakened by some strange sounds coming from outside. He didn’t know what it was, so he quickly got up to see what is happening.

He saw a lynx hanging around on his back porch. In these parts, that is not uncommon to witness, but what made the whole experience adorable was that the lynx was actually a Mama Lynx, and she had her babies with her.

Since he is a seasoned photographer, his first reaction was to grab a camera, and it was the right call. Photographing a carefree lynx family is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

This incredible wild cat is one of four lynx cat species and seeing the kittens was truly priceless.

Newton immediately shared the photos on his social media pages, and they are amazing – he managed to capture a charming family moment. “The seven kittens were such a joy to watch playing on our deck! Mama Lynx was very watchful over them – taking a good long look at that photographer near them and his clicking camera,” Newton wrote.

Newton is famous for his nature-centric photos, but this adorable lynx cat family might be some of his best work. Here are some of the wonderful moments that he captured:

Most of us will never get the chance to see these magnificent animals in person, and we are so grateful that nature enthusiasts are sharing their photos.
