Lunchroom Thief Ends Up In Ambulance After Stealing His Colleague's Extremely Spicy Tuna Sandwich Especially Made To Catch Him
Lunch thieves are the worst. It's not always easy to figure out who steals other people's lunches, but the safest route is to report the theft to a supervisor or human resources.
Playing things by the book is not always effective. For this exasperated Redditor, tedious social situations called for petty creative strategies.
The OP works all day out in the blazing Texas sun at a plant nursery. They store their packed lunches in the glass-door upright refrigerator in their breakroom.
OP brought his lunches in a distinct camo lunch box that was labeled. OP noticed a few weeks into bringing his lunches that some of his snacks were missing.
It started with the small items, but the thief was emboldened when OP didn't take action. Soon enough, OP had to make do with the snacks because his sandwiches or entire serving of roast were nowhere to be found.
OP is a petty guy, and he loves his food extra spicy. These qualities came in handy when OP decided to smoke the lunchroom thief out.
OP made a batch of extra spicy curry he brought to work. He thought it was enough to deter the thief but found the container empty in the middle of the break room.
OP went home, determined not to be beaten by the thief. If his spicy curry didn't work, his tuna sandwich that was hot enough to burn metal might just.
