The live-action Disney reboot is set to debut in March of 2020 and we cannot wait for it
The 1998 animated film Mulan has maintained is beloved status for over 2 decades and ever since the live-action remake was announced people have had mixed feelings. At one time, this reboot was anticipated to be released in 2018 but clearly as we are well past that, we know Disney had some bumps along the way. However, when they announced the casting for the reboot, our anticipation as fans grew exponentially.
Now, after a small teaser was released that gave us BIG feelings, a full-length trailer has been released and we are all over the place, to say the least.
It is clear that while the big disappointment of music is gone (and Mushu,) the movie is still following the plot of the animated film. Mulan is told it is her duty to bring honor to her family.
But when the nation is under siege, and her father has no sons to offer the emperor, he intends to go and fight himself.
But Mulan is not about to let her elderly father die...
It's almost impossible to watch this trailer and not have big feelings.
The paralleled imagery is done so well.
Most no longer even care about the whole Mushu fiasco.
Could live-action Mulan bring balance to the negativity Disney's received for their live-action remakes?
Now that you've seen the trailer, let us know what you think in the comment section!
