Family Issue Ensues After A Lady Puts Her Husband’s Aggressive Dog In A Kennel
"I said to keep her outside until he potty trains her"

Being a pet owner, be it a dog, cat, or small mammal is a delightful privilege because these animals bring us joy and love. However, you are also responsible for keeping your pet healthy and happy, and being a responsible pet parent is a lifetime commitment.
Being your pet's best friend entails a great deal of responsibility! Pet ownership is a significant time and energy commitment.
It’s unfortunate that not every pet owner shows this sense of responsibility, and when this is the case, the pet might become aggressive towards other people or pets around them. This is obviously a situation any pet animal should not be in because it is very uncomfortable for our furry friends.
Meet this Redditor, Issybellalovve, whose husband accepted a dog from his boss but failed woefully to live up to the responsibility of taking care of the dog. He delegated such responsibility to his wife, the original poster, who also has a dog of her own.
It was not an easy job for this Redditor because the dog later became aggressive because of a lack of optimal care. We have put together snapshots from the original post for you to read how the entire story unfolded, leading to the OP's decision to put the dog in a kennel.
The AITA community was almost unanimous in their opinion that the husband was being irresponsible with the dog. Scroll down to read more about what they had to say.

Your husband is definitely a terrible dog owner

This Redditor suggests that the OP should listen to her brother

You have every right to not want to handle it

You were always going to be the one responsible

They might be able to work with her

He had true reasons for banning the first adoption

File a police report on his dog every time...

I would honestly re-home the dog

A dog is a huge commitment

Your husband failed to even train the first dog

Dog was adopted within your marriage

Your husband needs to be more understanding of your struggles

Frankie is reactive and untrained

The dog is not a pawn in your relationship

You can't get rid of the dog

The dog is not your responsibility

It isn't right to just shut her in the kennel

Glad your husband decided to rehome

This Redditor suggests to get rid of both the human and the animal

Here is a final edit given by the OP

Well, what would you do in a situation like this? It’s a lovely thing to have a furry friend that is always there wagging its tail and ready to hug you when you come back from work.
Yeah, it’s fun, but it comes with a lot of responsibilities and commitment. Sadly, when this commitment isn’t shown, the pet might develop behaviors like aggression.
