How Holly Madison Successfully Juggles Between Being Pop Culture Icon And Mother Of 2 Kiddos

Pop culture icon Holly Madison runs a successful podcast, is a TV personality, and a mother. But believe it or not, she isn't a morning person.

In an interview, the 44-year-old celeb says she finds it hard to wake up. That's why she begins the day using a method called red light therapy.

Once she feels the jolt, it's a signal that it's time to work. Madison serves as the cohost of the "Girls Next Level" podcast alongside her former Playboy Bunny colleague, Bridget Marquardt. The concept blossomed in August 2022 when Madison revisited episodes of The Girls Next Door for her YouTube channel.

She remembers sending voice notes to Marquardt.

We would have these long conversations, and I [realized] this should really just be a podcast ’cause there’s only so much you can say by yourself when you have two different viewpoints that can corroborate things or share different views on things, it’s so much more interesting. So it was really very organic.

Nowadays, the pair, who shared the screen on the E! series from 2005 to 2009, produce numerous episodes each week to meet the considerable demand from their audience. Madison explains:

We typically record in batches, ensuring we secure at least one podcast episode and multiple bonus episodes for our Patreon.

Madison's endeavors extend beyond podcasting. She also spearheads the ID series, The Playboy Murders, delving into the narratives of homicide victims associated with the renowned magazine.

The series' second season premiered earlier this month, with episodes released weekly. Given the necessity for on-camera appearances to promote the show, Madison dedicates time in the afternoon to ensure her presentation is impeccable.

Concluding, her day revolves around her most cherished role: motherhood. Once she gets home, she ensures that her two children, Rainbow (aged 10) and Forest (aged 7), whom she co-parents with her ex-husband Pasquale Rotella, complete their homework, have dinner, and settle into bed.

Madison needs a jolt to her system to help wake her up. She indulges in a well-known skin care routine while still wearing pj's.

The time after school is dedicated entirely to Madison's children, daughter Rainbow and son Forest. She shares:

I make sure my kids get to their activities, help them with their homework, make their dinner — tonight, it’s pasta and broccoli — and tuck them into bed.

The hustle ain't over. She's back to work the moment her kiddos are asleep.

She stays up late to edit her podcast. She also tries to fit exercise into her schedule.

If I didn’t get a chance to work out earlier in the day, I usually fit in some circuit training before bed.

Motherhood has changed her life, as the "Girls Next Door" star admits. She has left her partying days behind.

When she only had Rainbow, Madison carefully selected her appearances because they took away time dedicated to her kids. She also realized that babies and toddlers demand a parent's time.

She accepts that when she's with her daughter, she needs to acknowledge that the only thing she can accomplish is being a mom.
