With their aristocratic attitude, aloof nature, and agile and athletic movements, cats seem like they own any room they appear in. But they also have their goofy side.

They sometimes do things completely weird, but adorable at the same time. And they are hilarious because they do it effortlessly.

Their actions, although entirely natural and understandable to them, sometimes can seem so weird to us. For example, there is an entirely satisfactory explanation for your cat sitting on your head or sleeping in tiny boxes instead of a comfortable bed.

But we are not interested in logical explanations. We like to see the cats’ quirky side and don’t want them to be so damn reasonable and calculated all the time!

The latest DNA analysis suggests that cats lived for thousands of years alongside humans before they were domesticated. During that time, their genes have changed little from those of wildcats, apart from picking up one recent tweak: the distinctive stripes and dots of the tabby cat.
