Disney's Hercules Revelations That Prove It's An Underrated Movie Worthy Of Its Own Laurels

When you think about hard tasks, you’d weigh out those you think you can do and some that are almost impossible. Tasks that you think would only be accomplished with herculean strength.

You might’ve heard about this greek god who just so happened to be the Disney character that had to go the distance. All of his efforts worked towards finding himself and being seen as a hero-god like he was born to be.

Hercules was a film released by Disney on 1997. This was a tale surrounding the son of Zeus being kidnapped by Hades’ cronies and stripped of almost all of his godly abilities.

He had to be raised by mortals, and although he loved them truly, he never felt like he ever belonged there. He then went on a quest, asking help from a ‘gods and goddesses trainer’ while also stumbling across a human he was bound to love.

The film is a classic animated film, filled with songs that are very nostalgic. It’s been part of the Disney discussions and general online content as well.

Now, of course, with all of this talk, there’s bound to be hot takes about the movie. Whether it’s about the difference in the origin story of this movie, to the lovely muses, Hercules definitely sparked conversations and questions.

1. No diss on other princesses but Meg is an underrated Disney princess.

2. The muses are certainly top-tier narrators and all fabulous

3. Meg breaking stereotypes despite being heartbroken

4. For all those who actually know about how Hera really was based on the description, you’ll get it. For those who don’t, you might want to find out.

5. They could both talk about always being under pressure.

6. The real heroic impact Hercules made is when he showed what respect is

7. He’s got looks, strength and a whole lot of sass

8. All guys are the same, Hades thinks, and now all men are angry at what Hades thought

9. If Hercules has sass then Hades is the original sass-filled character

10. A unique pairing that will sound ridiculous if you say it like that

11. Take it to the theatre and sing your praises

12. When they say they make quite a pairing, this might come up

13. Apparently, Meg had a job description that Disney was not up for when taking applications for Disney princesses

14. Meg was a rollercoaster of a character and a lot of kids wouldn’t realize that until they’re old

15. The opinion on Meg is a little polarized, but you can say that she speaks the truth

16. For a movie filled with wonderful music and a matter of fact, the muses, having it be non-musical doesn’t make sense

17. Maybe that’s why they don’t want to talk about Bruno

18. It was a perfect fit for an easter egg but now is a missed opportunity

Hercules was a movie that captured the essence of striving for what you dream of. Despite struggles and continued sabotage, he stayed true to himself and checked himself when he became arrogant.

He also showed how far he would go for people that he loves. This movie is filled with inspiration and lessons and is what makes it a classic Disney animated movie.
