Artist Brings To Life Powerful Harry Potter Scenes We All Wish Were In The Movies
Unlike other book adaptations, the Harry Potter films weren't actually so bad in bringing the books to life. Even now, many of us who have read the books over and over again couldn't imagine Hogwarts looking any different or Hagrid looking like anyone else than what and who they portrayed in the films.
That doesn't mean that those films were perfect though. In fact, while the films got a lot of details right, they were missing plenty of key scenes and moments that would have meant more to the audience.
Then again, we all know that if the writers and directors did follow every page of the books, we wouldn't just have eight movies in our hands. We'd have seasons and seasons of Harry Potter.
While that would be heaven for us fans, it just doesn't seem entirely feasible. Thankfully though, there are plenty of people out there who are helping to fill in the gaps that the films left out.
One of those people is Florida-based comic artist Katie Knudson. She has been drawing scenes from the Harry Potter world we wished to see in the movies but unfortunately didn't make the cut and we're absolutely loving it.
According to the artist, the idea came to her when someone reminded her of the moment Luna randomly walked up to Harry to proclaim her support for him. “I just thought it was a great scene and I felt inspired to draw it really quickly. It was so well received that I realized I was not the only one who missed these forgotten and deleted scenes, so I just kept finding them and drawing them!” the artist said.

Oh Luna. She was always the sweetest.
Luna was always the sweetest person in the series. She always reminded them of how precious they all were to each other as friends.

To everyone else, it was all about the learning

To Luna, it was all about the people

This scene with Neville's parents and their story
Honestly, it would have broken us to see this scene in the films. Thinking of what Neville went through and what he had to endure at school just hurts.
It shows how strong and brave Neville really is though despite everything.

Nobody knew the full extent of Neville's pain

Seeing it in person would have been heartbreaking

To some extent, his parents still know Neville

But it's just not the same

Still, Neville cherishes whatever he has with them

The look on Umbridge's face onscreen would have been one incredibly satsifying sight to see
Seriously, this would have been one kick-ass scene to see. We would have loved to see mama McGonagall chewing Umbridge to pieces defending Harry.
This woman has been freaking amazing and we honestly wouldn't mind her having her own movie, you know.

Nobody dares interrupt McGonagall

Umbridge is just making it easy for McGonagall to obliterate her

Umbridge just can't win

It would have been priceless to see that look of disdain onscreen

Umbridge just won't stop

Nothing can't stop mama McGonagall though

When Harry invited Luna to Slughorn's party
Oh, precious Luna. she really deserves everything. This is one of the scenes though that makes us appreciate Harry a bit more.
Although he thought she was odd at first, he treated her kindly and with respect. Just seeing her face brighten up at his invitation would have made our day.

Innocent Luna

Poor Hermione

Luna is honestly the sweetest friend

She cares for her friends

She can be pretty spot on

Sometimes people don't know how to deal with her insight though

Oh Luna

It's her first time being invited to a party

That look of joy is priceless

This is the ultimate kiss moment we've all actually been dying to see
This is especially sweet because all his life, Ron thought having house elves as slaves were normal. He even laughed at Hermione the first time she thought of petitioning for the house elves' freedom. This moment just shows how much he cares and respects Hermione's goals and wishes.

This part was a real shocker

It was pretty sweet though

Oh dear Ron, how he's changed

This kiss is a pretty "aaww" moment too

True love's kiss

Yes, dear Harry, it is

The boy who lived is right though

But might as well, right?

It makes us sad to remember that these heartfelt and powerful scenes were omitted in the films. Seeing these onscreen would have hit so much harder.
Alas though, we can’t get everything we want from the studios so we’ll have to make our own way to commemorate those wonderful books. Are there other scenes you wished could have been in the films?
