Woman Moves Roommate's Pesky Cat Off Her Desk, Gets Warning From Roommate Who Won't Bother To Train The Cat

As cat parents, one of the most obvious things you will soon learn is that these animals can also act out. Not merely the occasional misbehavior that all species engage in, but willful misbehavior.

Some of these behaviors, like a cat who meows nonstop to gain your attention or performs other things, will be thought of as cute. Others, however, are just plain obnoxious.

You can be left asking yourself how you can escape this predicament. Well, the answer here is to discipline your cat.

You could find that to be a shocking realization. If you didn't know it already, you can discipline your cat to make it behave the way you want but before continuing, there is one thing we want you to be aware of.

Discipline in this context does not equate to punishment. It is more appropriately related to social reconfiguration.

The original poster of today's story shares a dorm room with someone who is a cat owner. The OP was totally okay with this, but she had a problem: the cat decided to like her and now wants to jump on the OP's desk to just walk or sit on her laptop.

The OP tried to keep the cat away, but nothing worked since the cat is stubborn. One day, OP gently pushed the cat away, and her roommate got mad about it.

Most of the time, what you see as your cat misbehaving is simply them displaying their inherent animal inhibitions. Because of this, it is not advised to chastise them for how nature has created them when you may instead assist them in adjusting.

The OP was declared not the AH and you can share this post to your loved ones to get their opinions as well.
