England's First French Bulldog Cafe Has Opened and People Are Drooling
England has found a new way to make brunch even more irresistible, and it involves French Bulldogs. The breed has surged in popularity across the UK, climbing to number four on the list of most popular dogs after only being added in 2017, so a pop-up cafe built around them was always going to draw a crowd.
The event took place in September at The Happenstance in northern England, where guests could book in for a dog-filled outing with their own Frenchie or, if they did not have one, pay extra to join the fun. It sold out fast, which only makes the whole thing feel more likely to return.
For anyone who loves dogs and overpriced coffee in equal measure, this one had all the right ingredients.

It was quite the challenge to even get into the event. If you're lucky enough to own a Frenchy, it would cost you about £10 to enter; however, without one, you're looking at more like £20. Bookings were also essential, and the event sold out quickly. Screw Coachella; I know what tickets I'm fighting for this year.
That price tag did not stop people from trying to get in.

Dog owners receive a puppuccino and a bag of 'pupcorn' for their little buddy, as well as a few goodies for themselves.
This is giving major “no-dog crate, no-boarding” energy, like the bulldog ditched at the airport before vacation.
It sounds like a very good deal for everyone involved.

There are currently no plans to bring the idea to the USA; however, with the rising popularity of French Bulldogs around the world, it would be silly not to capitalize on the idea sooner rather than later. Any breed will do, actually; I just love dogs.
For now, England gets bragging rights.
