Playful Dog Confused After Tiny Newborn Human Did Not Throw The Ball For Her

Luna couldn't wait for her baby sister, Martina to be born, in the months leading up to her birth, the sweet dog was filled with joy and anticipation. Luna had a feeling that she is about to get a brand new best friend, playmate, and sister as well.

The sweet dog always insisted on being by mom María Fernanda Osterling’s side throughout the pregnancy. She was protecting her baby sister before she was even born.

María never expected Luna to embrace her tiny human as much as she did. Luna is quite impatient and wants to start making memories with Martina as soon as possible, she doesn’t seem to understand yet that her baby sister has a lot of growing up to do before the fun can finally begin.

The parents are used to Luna grabbing her favorite blue ball in her mouth whenever she wants to play fetch. One day, María noticed Luna walking into the room where baby Martina was with the same blue ball in her mouth, this time she ignored all the adults in the room and passed it to Martina.

She chose her specifically and wanted to play fetch with her unaware that handling a ball is beyond a newborn’s ability.

Osterling noticed how Luna always insisted on remaining by her side throughout the pregnancy.

“I was very curious to know if it would continue after Martina was born,” Osterling told The Dodo. “And I was pleasantly surprised.”

“She treats her like her sister,” Osterling said. “She protects her, takes care of her and lies by her side when Marti sleeps.”

She even kept looking around to see if Martina threw her the ball.

Here's the full video of Luna and Martina's interaction:

Luna may have been confused by Martina's lack of throwing the ball back, but she didn't mind since she only wanted to include her tiny human sister in her fun activities.

“I was very moved because it showed me that Luna loves Martina, even though Martina still can’t show her the same yet,” Osterling said. “I know that Luna loves her very much and wants to be with her and play.”

Luckily for Luna, it won’t be too long before she can finally play fetch with Martina. She will wait impatiently until it finally happens.

Luna and Martina have a very special bond that will last forever. We are happy that we were able to get a glimpse into what is to come.

“I’m sure that when Martina grows up, they will be great friends and sisters,” Osterling said. “The capacity that a little animal has to give us love is infinite. And Luna knows how to express it very well.”

Dog years are much longer than human years, which is why Luna felt impatient and wanted to start playing with her sister as soon as possible. You can't blame her for trying, she just wanted to make sure if her tiny human is ready yet.
