#FeelingCute wasn't always a "viral challenge." It was once nothing more than a popular hashtag on #SelfieSunday. Living life in the moment, feeling yourself, a sense of pride... but also an inescapable insecurity underneath that screams, "in about 6 hours I'm no longer going to be feeling myself, and this photo will look gross to me, and I will delete it!!" That's basically the background for the viral challenge.

"Feeling cute in the moment," but later could be a totally different story. Somewhere along the way, a play on the concept popped up with too much hilarity to explain in words. The pictures of the challenge participants does that work sufficiently... and hilariously.
