Someone Found 10-Year-Old Emma Watson's Love For Writing With A Quill Almost Two Decades Later
Emma Watson was a typical 10 year old girl during the release of Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone, and this note proves it!

Hermione Granger wastes no time. Apparently Emma Watson doesn't either!
During the filming of the first Harry Potter movie, Sorcerer's Stone, the cast was filming wide and often did actual homework on set. This letter in particular Ms. Watson wrote using a quill, and decided it would be an alright time to jot down some things about herself. Much like a make shift biography.
The note proves how perfect Emma was for the role of Hermione-
“My name is Emma Charlotte Watson, I am ten years old and playing the part of Hermione Granger. I love this pen (quill)."
The note reads, and has gone viral on Twitter.
“Proffser McGonigal [sic] the cat is beautiful. Is black and white. I wish I had a cat as a teacher.”
Annnnnd here come all the Harry Potter fans to swoon. (Myself included!!!)
Just looking at her here, makes me feel old. 10 year old Emma Watson.
Harry Potter and all the characters within the wizard world stole hearts. First with the books, then again with the release of each movie.
The anticipation that led up to the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, was monumental. Fortunately for the fans, and for them- the film's release put 3 lucky kids into the limelight.
Emma Watson being the only girl within the trio, she stood out, just like the character she played.
Hermione Granger is the kind of girl who never backs down, is so strong willed, and an absolutely brilliant wizard. The fact that she became an idol to young girls, was no surprise at all.
At only 10 years old, I can't think of a better human than Watson who could've handled all the press and stress that followed with instant stardom. Born in Paris and brought up in Oxfordshire, Watson has always had this strong sense of class within her. She's captivating and it radiates off of her without a doubt.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione have always been the most relatable, down to earth characters. That has for sure aided in their success. The cast and their dedication is truly who we should all be thanking, for making J.K. Rowling's vision come to life in such a surreal way. They gave us 8 films that were flawless. Very little strayed from the books, and when it comes to adaptations that's always the hardest part. Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint gave every ounce of life these movies deserved.
Humble and genuine, some of my favorite attributes of Emma's. She's never waivered from that.
lunastonksAs the letter was leaked, it only validated what we all already knew. Little girl Emma was simple yet still so complex.
To be as authentic as possible, the cast was asked to actually write something with the quill. Anything at all. In that is when Emma decided to write this letter to herself.
You can see her happiness here, overjoyed to be where she is. Purely in the moment.
lunastonksNostalgia. Cue it all. Excuse me while I have a Harry Potter Marathon now!
lunastonksEven at 10, Watson was articulate. So specific on the details she admired. The things she wished for.
And humble to her very core.
Watson will always stand tall when it comes to strong female roles. She's a hard one to beat.
lunastonksThe note was released from Huntley Film Archives as behind the scenes footage. Excuse me while I run to their website to dive deeeeeep into the Wizard World abyss of behind the scenes facts.

Like Emma having to wear fake teeth to look more like her character? WHAT?!
Hermione's attempt at helping Ron lift his feather.
Poised. Bold. Daring. It's written all over her face.
However, Emma has finally exhaled on how she truly felt about becoming a star so young. To top off her genuine character in real life, she's carried guilt all of this time, for not enjoying her rising fame as much as she felt she should have.
“I’ve sat in therapy and felt really guilty about it. I’m like why me, somebody else would have enjoyed and wanted this aspect of it more than I did. And I’ve struggled a lot with the guilt around that. I’m like, I should be enjoying this a lot more, I should be more excited and I’m actually really struggling,” Emma has stated.
