There are many things Americans are proud of and rightfully so. The United States is a very rich nation in which most individuals enjoy a high standard of living and unprecedented freedoms.

Scientists from all over the world want to study at US institutions. Hollywood produces the most complex, highest-quality films on Earth. Americans are also very proud of their military might and rightly so.

But the dominance of the United States in the world is not just about material wealth, it's also about status and influence. Americans like to think they rule the world, would it be true?

Well, hold that thought. While Americans may seem like they reign supreme because they live in a place where everything is almost known around the world because of the spheres of Hollywood and other industries, there are a great number of them who seem...well, underdeveloped.

Americans themselves know how much their fellow citizens can be very ignorant and insensitive, and they have grown accustomed to thinking of American culture as a sort of embarrassing relative who doesn't quite know how to behave in public.
