Guy Shocked After Getting A Speeding Ticket By Mail With A Picture Of His Dog On The Wheel
Every year, 42 million speeding tickets are issued in the United States alone. That is 36 percent of drivers, "assuming one speeding ticket per driver."
A German motorist was recently shocked and confused after receiving a speeding ticket by mail with a perplexing picture attached. The documents provided to him in the letter included a photo showing his vehicle exceeding the posted speed limit, but the strange part about all of this was the fact that a small white dog was the one behind the wheel, driving the car recklessly, with no one in the passenger seat.
The small white dog appeared to be driving the vehicle, which raises a lot of questions and confusion because it is definitely not something you see every day. The "car thief" pup ended up belonging to a Twitter user's uncle, who was just as confused as anyone to see his dog in this speeding ticket, breaking the law.
The photo clearly shows a dog driving a car, and since the traffic cameras caught him, he must have been speeding too, on top of everything. Did this small white dog somehow manage to take the car on an illegal joyride without his owner ever finding out?
Well, the reality of the situation is a little different from all these theories (and definitely not as fun). It's still a worthwhile giggle, though.
“My first reaction was: ‘That can’t be real,’” the nephew told The Dodo. “I think my uncle was just as surprised.”

Surely at this moment, we're all on the same page and thinking: Dogs don't know how to drive, so how did this happen?
Turns out, it was the uncle who was driving the car that day, and his dog was in the passenger seat.
Allegedly, the pup jumped onto the uncle's lap at the exact moment the traffic camera took that shot. Talk about mind-blowing timing, right?

“Normally, the dog wears a special car belt for safety,” the nephew said. “That day, my uncle forgot to put it on him, and the dog came to cuddle with him [as he was driving]. The funny part is, he was in his lap for just three seconds.”
Those few seconds were long enough to turn him into the prime suspect. The uncle ended up handling that fine despite the fact that he could have contested the ticket for lack of proof that he was the one behind the wheel.
“He paid it,” the nephew said. “But I can’t tell you what the authorities thought.”
They must have been so confused the moment they opened that letter.
That picture was taken from an angle that makes it seem like the dog was actually behind the wheel. It certainly would make anyone question reality for a second.
The uncle will probably keep that fine forever; it's hilarious, and you could trick people into thinking that your dog actually did go on an illegal joyride. It wouldn't be the first time a joyride occurred under unusual circumstances, right?
