Inspiring Story of Man Rescuing Dog One Hour Before Her Scheduled Euthanasia

Studies have revealed that even brief interactions with dogs trigger the release of oxytocin, also known as the "cuddle chemical," in the human brain.
Oxytocin lessens stress and anxiety while boosting feelings of relaxation, trust, and empathy. This is why, when you cuddle your dog, you experience that warm, fuzzy sensation.
Despite all these benefits, there are downsides to being a dog parent. Dogs require time and attention; they need to be catered to both physically and emotionally.
Not to mention, there’s always the possibility of them getting hurt or sick. If you've had any experience with dogs, you'll know that veterinary treatment is not cheap.
As a dog parent, it’s essential to plan for yearly exam fees and preventive care, like vaccines and spaying. Unfortunately, some people are unable to handle these responsibilities, leaving many dogs homeless and neglected.
Worst of all, when these dogs become too ill due to neglect, veterinarians are often left with no option but to euthanize them.

Edie, a mixed-breed dog, was in the shelter when Bruno arrived. Although she was initially wary of him, she soon relaxed after realizing that he meant no harm.

Edie had been left behind and was facing imminent euthanasia, having been neglected for a long time. The poor pup was severely malnourished, had matted fur, and was terrified of interacting with humans.
Thankfully, Bruno was able to change her story.
