Community Bonds Together To Rescue A Dog Hanging From The Balcony Of His Abusive Home
Dogs have been man's best friend since time immemorial, although scientists can't pinpoint exactly when humans started domesticating dogs.
They estimate it's been 14,200 years since humans and canines kept each other company. Their deduction is based on the first dog burial, indicating that it's around that time that dogs became pets.
You would think that after thousands of years, humans would have perfected the way of caring for their loyal companions. Sadly, that's not the case.
Take this local community in Russia. The quiet neighborhood was shaken by the disturbing howls of a dog who seemed to be in a great deal of pain.
When they finally located the source of the howls, they were shocked. The poor pup was literally hanging from a second-story balcony of her home.
Half of the dog's body was already out, and she was hanging upside down when young children found her. After her calls for help, the adults eventually came to her rescue.
The first person to do something to help the pup was a man, and he came prepared. He climbed onto his ladder and attempted to free the dog from the hole where she had managed to fit half her body.
After a few minutes, the gentleman was successful. The helpless dog was finally saved, but everyone was aghast once they saw her poor state.
The crowd let out a collective gasp as they saw the emaciated body of the dog. She was paper-thin—so thin that you could count her ribs just by looking at her.
Now, the community has a new problem: Who is the owner of the dog, and how did they let her get into this dangerous state?
However, time is of the essence, and they had to take the dog to the nearest clinic. Their search for her abusive owner will have to wait. Rada, as they eventually named her, and her health are the priority.
Meet Rada, the dog who tried to escape from her horrible home and was rescued by kind strangers

Here she was mid-howl, helpless and waiting for someone to save her

Rada is free!

No dog deserves this kind of treatment. The poor pup looks so thin and scared.

Rada at the clinic
When Rada arrived at the vet, everyone knew she badly needed help—and quickly. She was diagnosed with anemia, a blood disorder pertaining to hemoglobin deficiency.
The clinic staff deduced that Rada is anemic because she is malnourished and abused. She's in bad shape, but at least she is now receiving much-needed love and care.

Rada's eyes tell every awful story she's been through
After her trip to the clinic, Rada now needs a temporary home while she recovers. Unfortunately, the nearest animal shelters refused to give Rada a home.
An hour passed with nothing, and suddenly the community received good news! Rada found a foster home!
The people from the Do Good Animal Protection Society offered to temporarily house the recovering dog.
She is now given a loving home.

She's so frail, wandering around a grocery aisle

The poor dog's tail is tucked between her legs; she's scared of everything
Rada was frightened, and for good reason. They finally found her abusive owner, and he is much worse than you would expect.
Rada's unnamed owner is no stranger to the police. In fact, he is a known alcoholic who enjoys getting drunk with his friends, making a mess, and being a general nuisance.
The authorities are frequent visitors to his home, but for other violations not concerning Rada. To their shock, he didn't care about being punished or breaking the law.
He paid the fine and continued being, well, the way he is. One local volunteer was fed up with his behavior and filed an animal cruelty complaint against Rada's owner.

This dog deserves all the love in the world
When the authorities investigated further, it was revealed that the abusive owner went out of town. He left Rada and a cat alone in the apartment, waiting for them to die.
No wonder Rada tried to escape. Sadly, unlike Rada's successful escape, the poor cat died in the horrible home.

Rada is now in a safe and warm place
