How many times have you wished your pet could talk so far? And if they could, what do you think they would tell you first?
Although the ability to speak is not a thing, we can teach them, just imagine for a moment what your mutual relationship would look like if they could tell you all they feel? It surely would be an interesting conversation.
But, since clear and loud talking is not an option for them, we know how to discern their way of expression. They usually use their body language.
With those gorgeous eyes, they'll try to point you at something, cuddling, even curling up next to you. And with all those cues, you'll know what they are trying to tell you, their different behavior can't go unrecognized.
Recently, a dog tried to warn its owner about the most important moment of her entire life. She lives with her mom, Olivia Lachenauer, and is a 2-year-old golden retriever named Penny.
Penny has a calm and warm nature, and it makes her the perfect duo with her mom, also an excellent PTSD service animal. Her mom says that Penny has been very helpful to her.
She is a sensitive dog who cares for her, and her life becomes way too better with Penny by her side. Penny likes to look after her mom all the time, but when Olivia got pregnant, she became even more careful.
Not so long ago, Olivia had her final exam for nursing school and was a little stressed. But the dog's behavior was even worse.
Olivia said that Penny looked very worried, and she thought it was because of her tension about the finals. Instead of sitting next to her and giving her moral support, always a peaceful dog acted very strangely.
She constantly kept poking her nose at her mom's belly. But later that day, it turned out Penny had the most beautiful reason for her weird manners.
1. Meet Penny, the friendliest dog ever.
OLIVIA LACHENAUER2. Penny spent the day poking her mother's belly like she had sensed something.
During Olivia's exam, it became clear why Penny was behaving like that. Olivia got contractions and had to go to the maternity hospital. Her labor began, and later that evening, her little boy was born.
So all that time, her best furry friend tried to tell her what was about to come. She felt that she would get her younger brother that day.
OLIVIA LACHENAUER3. Olivia called her parents, and they took her to the maternity hospital for childbirth.
“On question 63, I started having the worst contractions ever. I finished my final, my parents came over, and by that night my beautiful baby boy was born! Penny knew before I did that something was off.”, said Lachenauer.
OLIVIA LACHENAUER4. Penny immediately fell in love with her younger brother.
“Once I was settled, she turned into a super-nanny dog! It was adorable. She’s great with all of my kids, but especially loves checking on the baby and will lay by his swing, under his bassinet, and supervise tummy time from a safe distance.” said Olivia.
OLIVIA LACHENAUER5. "Penny is attentive, sweet, and just overall wonderful with the newborn." said Olivia.
“I think her relationship with this baby is so strong because she’s been there since day one for him,” explained Penny's mom.
OLIVIA LACHENAUEROlivia said:
"She’s really mellow and super sweet. She’s always been very attentive to me. She’s that calming factor and is trained for interventions during night and day. She usually catches my triggers before I do, and it has absolutely changed my quality of life."
And this time, Peny did her thing again. She warned her mother the baby was about to come and that she should get ready to meet a new family member.
