When the boy learned that the dog's name is Monkey, he happily made reference to the animal he had learned about during English classes.

However, the boy’s mom was less thrilled about this revelation, believing that the dog's name could potentially confuse her son. She expressed concerns that the unique name would cause him to always make reference to a dog when he hears the word “Monkey.”

Ultimately, OP explained that their choice of the name “Monkey” is due to the dog's distinctive physical features, making the name particularly fitting. The child himself appreciated the uniqueness of the name, noting how it suited the dog's appearance.
